MISSION:

Honored Heroes'  primary mission is to research, preserve, and continuously honor of our fallen Veterans by identifying and researching veteran’s final resting place in the State of Nebraska, and by cleaning and preserving their headstones to ensure that they are never forgotten.

PURPOSE:

There is a common quote in the veteran community that drives our mission to keep every veteran’s memory alive, which is, “Everyone dies twice, once when they physically die, and again when they are forgotten”.  As a nonprofit organization (501(C) 3 pending), Honored Heroes and their volunteers are dedicated to ensuring that our veterans from Nebraska are never left behind or forgotten.  We strive to clean and preserve every veteran’s final resting place so that everyone can pay them the respect they deserve.  Nebraska is a large state and there are many locations outside of national cemeteries, so we are always looking for volunteers to assist us in our mission of research, preservation, and continuous honor for our state’s veterans.
